Every month, Nepal imports 50,000 tons of cooking gas. The rise in gas consumption was due to a small increase in industrial usage, with the majority of it being home consumption. In the fiscal year 2021/22, Nepal purchased Rs. 15,27,39,84,446.12 worth of LPG. Authorities claim that around 210 gas bullets enter Nepal at various border crossings.
