Formal school education in Nepal is officially 12 years long, at the end of which a student receives a diploma of Higher Secondary Education (10+2). However, because the majority of schools in the country have not been updated to the 10+2 level due to a lack of funding and resources, the traditional high school system with the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) test at the end of ten years continues. Nepal has 4340 +2 colleges spread over 77 districts. Here are the top ten districts in Nepal with the highest pass result of plus two.

10. Dang

Dang district has become an emerging educational hub of Nepal in recent years with rising in number of schools, child development centers, resource centers and campuses. The Dang district has a literacy rate of 70 percent, with 41.1 percent having completed secondary education. There are 7769 students in grade 11 and 6733 in grade 12 in the Dang district. There are a total of 14,502 students. In grade 11, there were 25 students with a GPA between 3.61 and 4.00, compared to 2 in grade 12.

9. Sunsari

Sunsari district is located in the eastern Outer Terai and has a total size of 1,257 km2 (485 sq mi). Inaruwa serves as the district headquarters. The Kailali district has a literacy rate of 68 percent, with 36.2 percent having completed secondary education. There are 9942 students in grade 11 and 8300 in grade 12 in the Sunsari district. There are a total of 18,242 students. In grade 11, there were 10 students with a GPA between 3.61 and 4.00, compared to 17 in grade 12.

8. Kailali

Kailali District is one of Nepal's 77 districts and is part of Sudurpashchim Province in the Terai plain. The district, which has its district headquarters at Dhangadhi, has an area of 3,235 square kilometres (1,249 square miles) and a population of 911,155 people (2021 census). The literacy rate in Kailali district is 66 percent, with 12.1 percent having finished secondary school. The Kailali district has 10484 students in grade 11 and 8710 in grade 12. There are 19,194 students in total. There were 7 students in grade 11 with a GPA between 3.61 and 4.00, compared to 13 in grade 12.

3. Morang

Morang district is home to the historic Morang Campus (Mahendra Morang Adarsh Multiple Campus, Biratnagar), Sukuna Multiple Campus (Sundar Haraicha Municipality), Urlabari Multiple Campus, Pathari Multiple Campus, and a number of other educational institutions. Sukuna Multiple Campus, located near Sunderharaincha, Morang district, has around 5000 students. Purbanchal University in Biratnagar provides graduate-level courses in a variety of Science, Arts, and Liberal Sciences areas. Currently, the institution has recognized certain areas of "Academic Excellence" as Industry-Technology, Agriculture-Forestry, Environment-Rural-Cultural Subsistence, and Sustainable Development. It has private affiliates throughout Nepal. There are 13,815 students and 12,021 students from grades 11 and 12 respectively to pass from Morang District. The total number of students is 2,58,36.

2. Rupandehi

Rupandehi is well-known at the national level for its educational infrastructure and achievements. The Ministry of Education oversees and governs education in the district through Jilla Shikshya Karyalaya, Rupandehi (District Education Office, Rupandehi). It now handles 745 educational establishments within the area. There are 13,964 students and 12,631 students from grades 11 and 12 respectively to pass from Rupandehi District. 1. Kathmandu

Durbar High School (Nepal's first school), Trichandra College (Nepal's first college), and Padma Kanya College (Nepal's first women's college) are all in Kathmandu. Tribhuvan Institution, Nepal's first university, is located in the Kathmandu district's Kirtipur municipality.
